REVIT MEP ESSENTIALS ONLINE COURSE

This virtual course is based on our classroom course. It will cover the basics of building information modelling and the tools for parametric MEP systems design and documentation.

Participants will learn the fundamental features of Revit MEP and then progress through schematic design, system analysis and construction documentation before finishing with design visualisation.

The Revit MEP Essentials Online Course is structured into six modules, each designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems design and implementation using Revit.

Session 1: Building Information Modelling

Explore the Revit user interface and learn to work with elements, families, and views. This session focuses on object visibility and 3D views.

Session 2: Project Setup

Set up a new project, configure view templates, define discipline settings, and coordinate linked projects. This session ensures a solid project foundation.

Session 3: Volumes and Building Performance Analysis

Define and represent volumes, create zones, and perform building performance analysis. This session emphasises the importance of accurate volume representation.

Session 4: HVAC Methodology

Learn to define heating and cooling information, calculate loads, and create HVAC systems. This session is crucial for designing efficient HVAC layouts.

Session 5: Interference Checks and Discipline Coordination

Run interference checks, manage multiple disciplines and linked files, and create detailed views. This session improves project coordination.

Session 6: Annotation and Sheet Layout

Add annotations, dimensions, symbols, and text to create comprehensive sheets and title blocks. This session focuses on producing professional construction documentation.
