Autodesk Technical Consultant – UK based Role
This senior position is focused on leading and presenting technical aspects of the Autodesk Construction Cloud and finding core products within the Autodesk AEC portfolio.
As a senior technical specialist, you will have in-depth construction industry knowledge, Autodesk Construction Cloud products, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks skills, and competitive solutions such as Asite, ProjectWise, or similar.
You will be actively involved in the construction industry's community by promoting integrated Construction, which teaches how to connect data and workflows to bring fundamental transformation to the UK AEC sector by assisting customers on their digital transformation journey.
Responsibilities:
- Account Plan Development: In partnership with the team, you will develop a technical account plan that supports executing the agreed-upon strategies/tactics for the AEC Sector.
- Technical Discovery and Solution Fit: You will perform in-depth assessments of customer processes to investigate, uncover and understand the customer's needs. Utilise industry knowledge, business trends, and technology to identify areas of opportunity for customer process improvement.
- Facilitate workshops of varying sizes to help uncover business issues/drivers/initiatives. Use this information to connect Autodesk solutions to business outcome value, leveraging Autodesk software applications, services, and other resources to develop innovative solutions for our customers.
- Capture metrics for quantifying and justifying the customer's return on investment (ROI) to assist business closure.
- Develop, deliver, and demonstrate proposed solutions and product overviews and relate them to the customer’s business issues.
- Position solutions for customer adoption and success - Understand and position NTI Diatec's unique business value in competitive sales.

- Collaboration and Support: Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with the NTI Diatec team and adjacent business resources (sales management, marketing, customer success and support).
- Share best practices, competitive information, innovation, and thought leadership within the NTI Diatec Group, and interact and communicate with our extended sales and technical and customer success teams to meet customer needs.
- Influence business direction and IP development through customer feedback and identified business opportunities.
- Social Selling: Participate in the construction industry's community through discussion groups and online/social mediums.
- Maintain and promote the value of your industry expertise to our customers by getting involved in webinars, industry newsletters, blog and social media channels, Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) articles, customer success stories, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) plans. Participate in company-sponsored events and tradeshows to promote the NTI Diatec, Autodesk Construction Cloud and AEC solutions within our target markets.
Preferred Qualifications and Qualities:
- Must have at least 3 years experience in a Construction technical role (BIM Manager/BIM Coordinator) or as a Technical Consultant in the Autodesk partner network or at a competitive channel/manufacturer.
- Proven successful implementations of BIM platform technologies.
- Understand the AEC industry and keep themselves informed of future trends.
- Understand project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration, coordination, and fabrication.
- Knowledge of industry standards, workflows, data formats, and interoperability techniques.
- Understand BIM for Design, Engineering, and Construction and how to articulate and convey corresponding benefits.
- In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud products, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, and skills in competitive solutions such as Asite, ProjectWise, and similar.
- Diploma/Degree/Certification in an AEC discipline.
- Excellent oral communication and writing skills.
- Comfortable presenting in front of audiences.
- Must be able to demonstrate credibility and respect at a senior level and connect technically at the user level.
- Strong analytical skills in solving complex problems within supported industry(s).
- Strong relationship management skills.
Location
Working from Home, with visits to customers as required.
Salary transparency:
Offers are based on the candidate’s experience. In addition to base salaries, we have a monthly commission structure for new and renewal business, a quarterly bonus structure, a car mileage allowance, and a pension.
